Old Releases of xcin-2.5
Old Packages
The "old packages" stands for the traditional xcin-2.1/2.3 and
crxvt/rxvt-2.4+xcin patches (and only the X Window applications with such
xcin patches could accept the input from xcin-2.1/2.3).
These are obsolete and are un-maintained from
now on, and may have various bugs and problems. If you are using Linux
with glibc-2.0.7 and above or FreeBSD-3.0 and above with Big5 locale
support, we highly recommand that you may give a try to the I18N way,
i.e., using xcin-2.5 + rxvt-2.6/2.7 and many other XIM clients.
Although some bugs still remain, they are now stable enough and quite
useful. We will continue to improve the software quality of xcin-2.5 and
help to fix bugs of rxvt releases.
-
xcin-2.1b: The latest release from its original author
Edward Der-Hua Liu. Although it does not
contain some of the facilities availabe in xcin-2.3 series, but it is
more stable. So if you decide to use the old xcin package, it is recommanded
to use it.
